Testing (also called “Assessment” or “Evaluation”):

Cogmed Working Memory Training:

School Observation and School Consultation:

    • observation of children in their school environment (with school permission)

    • participation in school meetings (informal, 504, or ARD meetings)

    • consultation with teachers or tutors

    • recommendations for school personnel aimed at improving child performance

Therapy (also called "Treatment" or "Psychotherapy"):

    • treatment for anxiety, depression, and other common childhood conditions

    • approaches used include Cognitive Behavioral, Interpersonal, Family Systems, and Behavioral

Adolescent Social Skills Group:

    • group treatment for social skills problems

    • middle school age

    • parent participation required

Case Coordination and Consultation:

    • review of records

    • referrals to specialists

    • second opinions

    • treatment planning

Parent Education and Training:

    • handling conflicts (bedtime, homework, etc.)

    • behavioral problems

    • meltdowns and tantrums

    • motivating your student
